Zélé September Sidewalk Poem

Hear the cosmos humming in the morn’s frozen black tomatoes
On second thought, don’t . . .
And look into the tranquil pond, reflecting.
I see the face that I know as well as my own
And inside, I scream, while outside I smile
All the while, who really knows, or is known
On the total dark side of the moon.
I bathed in a swallow of bathtub gin
As the yellow flicker flows across the Blue,
Reconsidering the spaces, fascinated
Down on this sad street, I am never alone
Because, God willing, I have a cell phone.
The fat complementary worlds of lights and glowing darkness
Too many wasted words, put them to sleep
