Why
The hungry multitudes cry to be fed,
The air holds soot and smoke over head,
And the sea runs red.
Cries of injustice, exploitation, are said,
Crime, and lawlessness have made their bed,
And the sea runs red.
Chickanery, deceit are easily read,
The maimed and the handicapped live with dread,
And the sea runs red.
The drifters, the lonely need to be lead,
The whole world needs refixing. Instead,
The sea runs red.
