THAT’S WHAT THEY SAID

Water is scarce, well that’s what they said.
To hell with the crops, it’s the environment instead.
There’s plenty of food, well that’s what they said.
Droughts are the norm, but we’ll all still be fed
From the people in Asia, well that’s what they said.
So farmers went broke left the land and fled.
Production went down and we imported instead.
Then food became scarce and you couldn’t buy bread.
You must do with less, well that’s what they said.
Then down came the rain and we had floods instead.
But that is just weather, are you lot brain dead?
The water we have is on the environment to spread.
The floods crossed the land, with destruction widespread.
Repairs will cost Billions, or that’s what they said.
As Nature came to life, truth became widespread
They didn’t see it coming, or that’s what they said
That their lies and distortions they tried hard to spread,
Would drown in a flood of common sense instead,
As it washed away the lies of Greenies well-read;
To drown in their bile. Now what’s that they said?
