I Believe

I believe in the motion from the small
Of a man’s back, in folds of skin
And the scent of passion –
Of a warm breath against my cheek
Covered by a kiss –
The silence, the sighs, and whispers –
The shades and color of flesh –
Of your eyes that search mine
For my pleasure – but as they look for love
Know that it was given with our first kiss.
