A Poem

A poem is like sea foam
That washes on the sand;
Giving, taking, and sharing
with the land.

A poem is like a flame
That casts a gentle glow
Upon the thoughts of life, and love,
and other things we know.

A poem is an eternal force
That lives when all else dies;
To hold the breath of life,
and gently cast a sigh.
