I’m not even sure if I’m posting in the correct field.
However I believe that we should put the Sidewalk Poems to rest.
Success with this experiment was always contarary to what poetry is really about.
Poetry is one persons view of the music of what is happening.
It should be about taking our view of events, which can be complex and profound, difficult to understand and making them simply beautiful.
This is a task that becomes extremely difficult in one lines submitted by different people.
A good idea but not what real poetry is about.
Poetry should take that which is complex and motivate thought, action and art.
Siingularly the human spirit knows no bounds, let it be challenged by response not supported by like souls.
We gain warmth and support from those who agree with our thoughts, however we develop wisdom from those who disagree.
